Year One Reflection
This first year at the University of Florida has been everything I could have asked for and more. I have made phenomenal connections with new peers and professors, I have been accepted into a research lab in my first semester, I have volunteered with young children through Shands Child Life, earned my dental assisting degree, and I have been admitted to Delta Delta Sigma, UF's only pre-dental honors society. However, all of these accomplishments did not come easy, and they have definitely brought on plenty of stress and anxiety. In fact, in my first year, I am learning that it is okay to say no to things when you feel you are already too committed. I am learning to continue to pursue things I enjoy, and not what I feel should be just something for a resume. I enjoy speaking Spanish, so I have picked up a Spanish minor in my seemingly packed schedule. I have spent my time with organizations I am passionate about, and I have made such amazing friendships in such a short time. In my next semesters here, I am going to push myself like I always have, but at times, I am going to step back and appreciate my limits in order to be happy, healthy, and successful.

Year 2:
This year, I learned even more about how to succeed personally and academically. I was accepted Into the University Scholars Program, I learned my position as as the philanthropy and professional development coordinator in my honors society, and I earned the position of external director of A Soccer Life Foundation.
